Digital Marketing Executive (12 Month FTC)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting Directly to the Head of Marketing based in Northern Ireland and working closely within a busy marketing team this is a key role working with the team to continue the company’s success across global markets. The post holder will help to lead a programme of digital change moving to digitally led campaigns with ambitious engagement targets. They will advise and assist in the development of digitally focused marketing campaigns and assist with digital activity in our country marketing plans. They will take the lead in our digital activity managing our websites, social media presence and digital advertising. The role demands interaction with a range of people both internally and externally in a fast-paced environment. The role is critical to providing effective marketing support across the company’s markets.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Work with Interim Head of International Ostomy & Wound and Head of Marketing to develop and implement a digital strategy that will make a real contribution to achieving commercial objectives.
  • Help to lead a switch in approach to all campaigns which will be lead with digital content and activity.
  • Set up mechanisms to measure digital engagement and provide support in executing these and reporting against agreed targets.

Management and development of eakin.eu, eakin.nl, eakin.fr & eakin.jp

  • Ensure eakin.eu runs efficiently and provides a good user experience allowing nurses and consumers to access product information and case-studies easily.
  • Keep content up to date and accurate. Keep delivery and presentation of content under review to make sure it meets user expectations.
  • Analyse traffic to and use of the website feeding into development of the website.
  • Monitor search engine performance and keep SEO under review.

Management and development of abiggerlife.com

  • Ensure abiggerlife.com runs efficiently and provides a welcoming environment for ostomates with easily accessed content.
  • Develop and produce useful and engaging content for consumers. Keep delivery and presentation of content under review to make sure it meets and even exceeds user’s expectations.
  • Manage the forum element of the website building traffic and putting content management systems in place.
  • Analyse traffic to and use of the website feeding into development of the website.
  • Monitor search engine performance and keep SEO under review.

Development of our Service Brands

  • Work with Interim Head of International Ostomy & Wound and Head of Marketing to develop A Bigger Life strategically helping to determine how it will provide maximum value for the business.
  • Manage and develop the A Bigger Life brand continuing to build a strong independent brand providing clinically sound advice and support complemented by an active and supportive virtual ostomy community.

Management and development of our social media presence

  • Keep social media channels under review to ensure we have an appropriate presence on the most appropriate channels.
  • Develop and post engaging content on our social media channels ensuring it is on brand and ties in with ongoing campaigns.

Marketing Campaigns

  • Work with International Brand Manager, International Brand Executive and Customer Marketing Manager to develop digitally focused campaigns.

Country Marketing Management

  • Lead in providing professional marketing support to specified business partners working closely with the relevant sales lead and building relationships with the business partner team.

Digital Marketing Assistant

  • Line manage the Digital Marketing Assistant ensuring an appropriate workload and effective contribution to our digital marketing

General Support

  • As part of a busy team, could be required to be part of or lead other projects that arise, on an ad hoc basis across marketing

KEY SKILLS

Essential

  • Educated to degree level in a digital based subject
  • Extensive experience in a digital marketing role
  • Experience of developing and implementing digital marketing campaigns
  • Willingness to undertake some international travel
  • Experience of design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience of web development software including wordpress
  • Excellent verbal and written ability
  • Access to transport

Desirable

  • Experience of implementing a switch to digital communication within a business
  • Experience of Telligent Community Software
  • Experience of international marketing
  • Second language ability
  • Experience of working with distributors or agents internationally
  • Experience within a medical device company
