ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a high profile, confident and self-motivated individual who can demonstrate exceptional levels of performance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Respiratory and R&D functional areas in EHGL. This means all aspects of Respiratory and R&D management reporting, financial forecasting and decision support.  The person reports to the Senior Director, FP&A (SD,FPA) and has dotted line management responsibility for 4 Coleraine based finance employees.

The role involves such work relating to Armstrong Medical Ltd (AML), and Eakin R&D Ltd (ERD).

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Lead Business Partnering (BP) role to Respiratory and R&D functional areas. BP involves supporting the business partner in all things involving Finance, to ensure full understanding of financial consequences of decisions made
  • Lead financial planning, decision support and business facing management reporting​
  • Financial planning involves supporting the Long-Range Planning (LRP), Budgets and Forecasts. This means supporting the process and improving the process through system deployment and continuous improvement​
  • Financial reporting includes cost centre management, P&L reporting and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) preparation​
  • Accounting will produce to Legal Entity Trial Balance level. Respiratory and R&D Finance will extract information to produce business reports for both Respiratory and R&D functions
  • Decision support is ad-hoc in nature and reflects finances responsibility to own financial analysis that supports decision making​
  • Month end and audit responsibilities include accrual management​
  • This role will actively support continuous improvement throughout finance and in the broader organisation
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of a world class financial system which underpins our reporting, forecasting and decision support environment
  • To facilitate and manage the Respiratory, and R&D business plans, including budgets, forecasts and LRP
  • To manage the reporting of Respiratory, and R&D financials against budget, forecast and LRP
  • To provide quality financial reports to Respiratory management in Coleraine, and R&D management group wide
  • To introduce R&D reporting on investments with both pre and post project analysis regarding ROI, NBV and payback modelling
  • To provide quality commercial analysis around sales revenues, margins, operational expenses and other P&L constituents
  • To design, manage & support relevant business metrics (KPIs) to add visual representations of commercial Respiratory finance data
  • Challenge ways of working, to standardise common tasks and be a champion of Continuous Improvement (CI) within the function.
  • Support the month end and year end processes for operations as part of a wider finance team role
  • Support the wider Finance, HR and IT functions as required.
