JOB TITLE: Production Shift Lead (Amsorb)

  • Respond Healthcare Limited is a Dispensing Appliance Contractor providing NHS Services, dispensing prescriptions for stoma and continence products, to patients residing within the UK 
  • Eakin Surgical Limited manufacture single use instruments for ENT, General, Gynaecological, Ophthalmological, Oral and Maxillofacial, Orthopaedic, Paediatric surgeries 
  • Eakin R&D Limited focus on innovative research and development of ostomy, wound care and respiratory products for the Group  
  • Armstrong Medical Limited based in Coleraine Northern Ireland is a specialist manufacturer of respiratory consumables for Critical, Perioperative and Neonatal care

ABOUT THE ROLE  

To support Production within Armstrong Medical (AML) in producing high quality products to meet production targets. 

Shift Pattern 

Days – Mon–Fri 8am – 4pm 

Evening – Mon-Fri 4pm to 12am (Midnight) 

Nights – Sun night at 12am (Midnight) finishing Friday 8am.  

KEY ACTIVITIES  

Amsorb Production & Packing 

  • Running the packing machines in accordance with Operating Procedures.   
  • Packing product, stacking pallets and moving pallets when required.  
  • Notifying the Production Manager or Supervisor of any problems with labelling/batch numbering or product quality when packing.  
  • Assisting the Production Manager or Supervisor with cleaning of plant and machinery and general housekeeping.  
  • Work within the guidelines set by the Quality System at all times including input of accurate data into Production Records. 
  • Assisting with production of Amsorb or disposable medical devices as and when required, in line with Operating Procedures. 

Shift Lead Duties 

  • Leading by example on H&S, quality and efficiency. 
  • Ensure paperwork and records are completed on shift, to the required standard, by all team members. 
  • Enforce company policies and procedures on shift, reporting any non-compliance to the Supervisor and/or Production Manager. 
  • Accurate recording of the pack line information – first off sheet, retain sample log, pallet quantity. 
  • Overseeing pack quality.  
  • Production target reporting.  
  • Waste recording.  
  • Production & packing line set up.  
  • Monitoring of staff tea breaks and behaviour/attitude (2 x 10-minute tea breaks and one half-hour break allowed). 
  • Work closely with the Production Manager and Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of the department.
